Abstract
923,499. Moulding-machines. POLYGRAM CASTING CO. Ltd. July 20, 1959 [July 19, 1958], No. 24904/59. Class 83 (1). In a shell-moulding apparatus the mix is lifted into contact with the pattern 5 by compressed air applied beneath the air-pervious diaphragm 2, e.g. of ceramic or perforated metal which is impervious to the mould mix. Release of the air pressure allows excess mix to fall back on to the diaphragm. Specification 821,611 is referred to.
