988,768. Moulding ceramic articles. ETABLISSEMENTS MERLIN & GERIN S.A. Feb. 4, 1964 [Feb. 5, 1963], No. 4736/64. Heading B5A. A quantity of ceramic paste placed in a mould 12 is moulded by lowering a rotating die 13 of the configuration shown in Fig. 3. The formed article is ejected from the mould 12 by admitting compressed air into a chamber 22 surrounding the mould. The air passes through perforations 21 in the mould walls and ejects the article by turning a diaphragm 24 lining the mould inside out. The ejection is assisted by a piston 26 operable by a pneumatic cylinder 27. The diaphragm 24 is preferably permeable to air.
