Abstract

922,094. Lighting systems. LICENTIA PATENT-VERWALTUNGS-G.m.b.H. April 29, 1960 [April 30, 1959], No. 15170/60. Class 75 (4). An electric light fitting comprises a frame 1 which carries the lamp holders 2, 3 and a bowl 9 consisting of transparent or translucent material to cover the lamp holders and the lamp 4 the bowl being hinged to the frame at a point of its rim, the rim having a wedge-like projection 10 at least at a point substantially opposite to the point where it is hinged to the frame which wedge-like projection tapers inwardly and away from the rim of the bowl so as to form a shoulder and a spring 8 is fixed to the frame to engage the shoulder of the wedge-like projection. The bowl hinges about a pin 7 in the frame. The pin engages in an aperture in the wedge-shaped projection. By pressing the bowl upwardly the opposite projection engages the spring 8 which is secured to the frame 1 by the securing means for the terminals 6. The bowl and frame and a covering bar 18 have recesses for accommodating the electric conductors.
