Abstract

919,483. Cabinets &c. STABLEFORD, J. L. Aug. 19, 1959 [Aug. 26, 1958], No. 27357/58. Classes 52 (1) and 52 (3). A bedside table or cupboard is mounted on castors or wheels 4 by resilient brackets and has a resilient floor-engaging pivot constituted by a disc 9 rotatably secured to the end of a resilient leaf 10 of spring steel hinged to a bracket on the skirt 8 of the cupboard, the disc 9 having a pad 12 of foamed rubber or polyurethane to engage the floor or being secured to the floor by screws so the cupboard may move on an arcuate path about it as pivot. A cranked arm 18 movable in a socket 15 secured to the cupboard carries by means of saddle clips a tray 20 which may be inclined to form a book rest.
