919,411. Shuttering for concrete. FELDMAN, A. May 15, 1959 [May 15, 1958; Nov. 25, 1958 ; Feb. 2, 1959], Nos. 15648/58, 37848/58 and 3590/59. Class 20 (2). Means to form a reinforced cavity in concrete comprise a reinforcing channel 5 or a wire cage slidably mounted on an elastomeric former 1 which is secured to the shuttering 2 by a bolt 3 and nut 4. In use, the concrete is cast and the shuttering 2 removed along with the former 1, leaving a cavity reinforced by the channel 5 or cage. The channel 5 is retained on the former 1 during casting by a bent-over flange at its top end. In a modification. Fig. 6, the reinforcement comprises two trapezoidal concrete members 61 mounted on a wire frame 60.
