Abstract
917,859. Spray-producers. FINN, M. J. May 11, 1961 [Sept. 5, 1960], No. 30571/60. Class 69 (3). A solid jet of water or other liquid from a nozzle 2 crosses an air gap before flowing into the inlet end of a coaxial tubular part 4 comprising a Venturi passage into the throat 7 of which a second liquid, e.g. an insecticide, is drawn by the flow of water ; the liquid mixture is sprayed from a nozzle 9. The parts 2 and 4 are mounted on a bar 1, and the second liquid is drawn from a reservoir 16 via a flexible pipe 15 and a rigid connector 19. A vent 14 is closed by a finger of the operator when flow of the second liquid is required, the rate of feed of which may be controlled by a metering jet in its flow passage.
