916,359. Compressors. COMPAGNIE FRANCAISE THOMSON-HOUSTON. July 19, 1961 [Aug. 10, 1960], No. 26178/61. Class 8(1). [Also in Group XXVI] A reciprocating compressor, e.g. for a refrigerator, comprises a piston 7 mounted within a cylinder 8 and connected to a crank pin 3 by a connecting rod 4 made in one piece, the wall of the cylinder having a groove 12 therein to allow passage therethrough of the end 6 of the connecting rod during assembly of the latter with the crank pin. The rod 4 is connected to the piston 7 by means of a spring- loaded tapered key 9 disposed within a wrist-pin rotatably mounted in the piston 7. Specifica tion 667.537 is referred to.
