A machine-tool 1 is driven by an induction motor 3 through a torque converter 2, the drive-shaft of the machine-tool being associated with a speed-detector 5 and accelerationdetector 4. These detectors are connected to servomotors 6, 9, for regulating the rotor resistance 8 of the induction motor in a corrective sense. Other parameters of the machine-tool may be corrected by controlling the transmission ratio of the torque converter. Specification 863,459 is referred to.
