[Also in Group X and XXVI] A joint between two spaced parts such as the joint between a window pane 7, Fig. 3, and its frame 8 is made by a sealing gasket 11 consisting of a cured layer 4, Fig. 2, of a plastic, e.g. heat-curable synthetic rubber or natural rubber sandwiched between two uncured pressuresensitive tacky layers 5, 6 of the same or different plastic which uncured layers are soft enough to flow when subjected to pressure as for example exerted by the glazing strip 9 on the strip 11 and pane 7 against the frame 8. The exposed surfaces of the uncured layers are covered by a non-tacky material such as a mineral powder, which is removed prior to use in making the joint. Such non-tacky material may be adhered to the tacky surface by a snap solution adhesive which can be removed by a solvent. The layers 5, 6 may be uncured rubbery co-polymer of an iso-olefine with minor proportion of a di-olefine and the layers 4 may be the cured form of the layers 5, 6.
