Abstract

915,521. Weft measuring devices. MACHINENFABRIEK L. TE STRAKE N.V. Dec. 15, 1959 [Dec. 24, 1958], No. 42682/59. Class 142 (2). A jet-loom weft measuring device comprises a member 7 into which a loop of weft 5 is drawn by suction. Weft 5 is continuously fed by rollers 3, 4, past a suction member 14 and through clamps 10, 13 on either side of the suction member 7. In operation, and with the clamp 10 closed, weft is drawn into the member 7, clamp 10 is opened and clamp 13 closed whilst the jet 1 picks the weft drawn into the member 7. Whilst the clamp 13 is closed weft is temporarily drawn into the member 14. The member 7 may be replaced by two smaller members.
