Abstract

931,347. Change-box looms. E. KENK. Aug. 23, 1961 [Sept. 21, 1960], No. 30382/61. Class 142 (2). A change-box loom has a weft holding and cutting device which operates every time the change-box is moved. When the change-box 7 is moved a cam track 8 operates a bell-crank 9 to move a hook 15 into and out of a slot 16 on the slay 4. The hook 15 pulls the weft, from the last used shuttle, into a cutting device 17 and against a suction tube 5, operated from and reciprocable with the slay 4, which holds the cut ends. A similar device may be provided on the bobbin change side of the loom.
