Shuttering for casting concrete comprises sheeting 4 supported on box section joists 2 supported by transverse beams 1, Figs. 1 and 2, for ceiling shuttering and transverse clamps 21, Fig. 9, for a column and Fig. 11 for a beam. In Figs. 1 and 2 the joists 2 are arranged in two sets the outer ends of which rest on two outer beams 1 and the inner ends of which overlap and the ends of one set are arranged alternately with the other set resting on a central beam 1. The beams 1 are supported on props 12. The sheeting 4 is also supported by members 3 stretching right across the ceiling, which also serve to close gaps between the ends of the strips of which the sheeting is formed and which may be arranged for casting a skew ceiling, Figs. 5 and 6 (not shown). The gaps between strips 4 may be closed by a curved steel plate 14, Fig. 7, overlapping both edges of adjacent sheets 4 and flattened against them by nails 15 which bring an abutment 16 on the plate against a member 3. The column shuttering, Fig. 9, comprises two parallel wider sheets 4 held against the ends of two narrower sheets 5 by the joists 2, clamps 21 and in the case of the wider sheets, timbers 3. In Fig. 11 ceiling shuttering 4 is supported by joists 2, the ends of which rest on the joists 2 of the beam side shuttering 5 which rest on edge on props 23 and clamps 21 supporting the bottom shuttering of the beam are supported by flanges 25 on the top of the joists 2 of the side shuttering.
