914,241. Grinding; work-rests. WRITTENBERG, G. R. Oct. 17, 1961, No. 37123/61. Class 60. A work-supporting fixture for centreless grinders comprises a bracket 9, including two sleeves 12, 12a having extending arms 11, 11a to form an adjustable work-supporting V, the sleeves being carried on a horizontal beam 10 about which they are angularly - movable simultaneously by means of a handle 34 which may rotate a member 31 carried by a stationary support 29 secured to the beam 10 between the pair of sleeves, the rotatable member 31 being coupled to the arms 11, 11a by links 26, 26a, pivotally connected to lugs 20 which project outwardly at right-angles to the arms from each sleeve. Two or more such brackets may be fitted to the beam 10, depending on the length of work to be supported, each bracket including a pair of rollers 18 carried on blocks 17 longitudinal adjustable on the arms 11 in slideways 16. Each arm may be adjusted angularly relative to its associated arm by screwing the link 26 or 26a through its trunnion 22 in the forked lug 20. The individual members 31 may be replaced by a bar between each pair of brackets to the ends of which the links 26 are attached.
