913,803. Discharge tubes. CSF COMPAGNIE GENERALE DE TELEGRAPHIE SANS FIL. Dec. 18, 1959 [Jan. 5, 1959], No. 43022/59. Class 39 (1). [Also in Group XL (b)] A high-power microwave vacuum discharge tube provided with an output wave-guide has a seal incorporating two wave-guide portions 2, 3 and a window 1 of insulating material, wherein the extremity of each waveguide portion adjacent the window is bent, e.g. by crimping, at 4 and 5, Fig. 1, and 8 and 9, Fig. 2, to form a frame having a rounded inner surface, the window 1 being brazed at 6 to the frames. The window 1 can be of ceramic, alumina, glass or quartz.
