911,705. Coiling; making helical tubing of non-circular section. HUET, A. Jan. 14, 1960 [Jan. 26, 1959], No. 1444/60. Addition to 905,027. Classes 83 (2) and 83 (4). An improvement in or modification of the machine for manufacturing coiled tubes, according to the parent Specification, by pushing tubing to coiling rollers, and in which the pushing rollers are used at the same time for transforming the cross-section of the tube, is characterized in that each supporting roller co-operates with a driving roller to engage the tube therebetween and is movable towards and away from said driving roller by independent adjustable pressure means. Adjustment of the pressure between a driving roller a and a pressure roller b of a pair is effected by a screw 50 through a cross-member 48. Belleville washers 47 and bearing blocks 46 (not shown) for the roll shaft 43. The rollers a, b deform the tubing to lenticular shape.
