910,712. Printing plates. TIMSON, E. A. Oct. 27, 1960 [Oct. 27, 1959], No. 36390/59. Class 100 (2). Both ends of a flexible sheet such as a tympan 4 are securely held in a longitudinal channel 2 formed in the rotary printing cylinder 1 about which the sheet is wrapped by resilient clips 6 anchored within the channel as to be resiliently urged towards one wall thereof. The ends of the tympan are reinforced by metal bars 5, 5<SP>1</SP> and the clip-engaging face of bar 5<SP>1</SP> may be recessed for interengagement with the clips. Instead of a plurality of clips 6, a single clip extending along the entire length of the cylinder may be used.
