Abstract
904,017. Flow indicators. ASSOCIATED ELECTRICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd. June 9, 1959 [June 11, 1958], No. 18684/58. Class 69 (1). In a device for detecting a small leakage flow of fluid, an axially-movable hollow float 12 is arranged as a close fit in a channel 11 through which the flow takes place and has at least one aperture 13 which permits larger fluid flows when the float is fully displaced. The channel 11 may be a glass tube sealed in a steel collar 6 having apertures 15, 16 for a light source 17 and photo-electric cell 18 used to detect the movement of the float 12. Stop 14 and push-rod 19 limit the movement of the float.
