Abstract

903,786. Reservoir brushes. P.C. PRODUCTS (1001) Ltd. June 8, 1961 [June 30, 1960], No. 22893/60. Class 19. A device for use in the cleaning of carpets and the like comprises a porous pad c surrounding and revolving with a container a for a liquid detergent or cleaning agent having apertures b therein, the pad and container being mounted in a casing d which is moved by a handle f to cause the pad to roll over the carpet, the casing d carrying brushes g at the front and rear to rub on the carpet pile, the handle being pivotally mounted about the axis of rotation of the pad so that the device can be used with forward or backward movements and the container a having a filling opening h therein. The handle is connected to a wire e which is bent and threaded through axially aligned holes in the casing d and the container a. According to the Provisional Specification the perforated container may be rotatable about a fixed hollow imperforate container, the filling cap being applied to the latter. A valve, controllable from outside, regulates the transfer of liquid from the fixed container into the rotatable imperforate container.
