Abstract

903,332. Loom jacquards. WEBSTUHLBAU KARL-MARX-STADT VEB. Jan. 17, 1961, No. 1968/61. Class 142 (2). Double-shafted hooks 1 are retained in the upper shed by open shed blades 4, 5 which are reciprocated in oblique planes by cams 7, 8. In operation, the rear lifting blade 3 raises all the hooks 1 and lifts them over the open shed blade 4 ; those not selected are pushed off the blades 4 by the jacquard transverse needles (not shown) and descend with the blade 3. The open shed blade 5 rises obliquely until both blades 4, 5 support the selected hooks 1 whereupon the blade 4 is disengaged as the front lifting blade 2 raises all the hooks 1 and fresh jacquard selection takes place.
