Abstract

903,105. Arc-welding electrode-holders. TRIANGLE PRODUCTS Ltd. March 20, 1961 [Dec. 21, 1959], No. 43259/59. Class 39 (3). An arc-welding electrode-holder comprises a body 1 of insulating material enclosing a metal member 5, e.g. of brass, which can be slid axially by a pivoted lever 9 of insulating material against the resistance of a spring 7 to bring apertures 12, 14 in the body 1 and member 5 into alignment for the insertion of an electrode stem at right-angles to the axis of the body 1. Further apertures 15 are provided for holding an electrode at an angle of about 30 degrees to the said axis. A cable connector 6a is screwed to one end of the member 5 and retains the spring 7 which may alternatively be retained by a-pin passing through the member 5. The spring 7 may alternatively be mounted between the end of the member 5 and the closed end of the body 1.
