[Also in Group XXIX] In an hydraulic tracer valve control system for a copy machine tool, a stylus operated tracer valve unit 1 controls the supply and exhaust of operating pressure fluid to and from opposite pressure sides of an associated servo valve unit 3 to displace a servo valve member 16 in either longitudinal direction from a centralized position, this servo valve unit being interposed in a pressurized hydraulic fluid system connected, independently of the tracer valve unit, from a pressure source 17 to the operating means such as reversible fluid motor 12 of a copy machine tool part. As shown, the tracer valve unit 1 comprises a pair of mechanically interconnected control valves 4, 5 of known piston type operated by a common stylus 2, one of these valves controlling the motor 12 through servo valve 3 and the other controlling the motor directly through pressure conduits 10, 11. In another embodiment, particularly for controlling the feed of a work-table, the valve 5 directly controls a second fluid motor of the machine tool independent of the motor 12 and a changeover valve is interposed between the servo valve and motor 12; in this case the servo valve 3 in centralized position allows a given flow to provide constant table speed when the stylus is following a straight line pattern and the flow is reduced or cut off by displacement of the servo valve.
