Abstract

Class 52(3) In a foldable trolley in which a rigid rectangular frame 10, 11 is pivotally connected with corner posts 12 by means of flap supporting pivoted links 15, 16, the links may be locked in the horizontal or substantially upright position. To fold the trolley, a press-button in each of handles 38 is simultaneously operated to withdraw a bolt from a notch in each of sectors 34, and allow frame 10, 11 to descend to the floor, each flap 21, 23 being folded into a V-shape about its centre line 22, 24. The corner posts 12 must thereafter be moved upwards in a circular path about pivots 17 and 18 to transfer the weight of the trolley to feet 13. On completing the folding movement the bolt again engages the sectors 34.
