Abstract

897,192. Windscreen wipers. ANDERSON CO. Nov. 12, 1959 [Nov. 19, 1958], No. 38382/59. Class 138 (1). A windscreen wiper arm comprises an end section 69 slidable in a channel section 67 for varying the length of the arm, the two sections being clamped together in the desired adjusted position by a lever 101, pivoted to the section 67 and having a cam surface 109 adapted to bear against a resilient element 105, an end 106 of a cover 71 on the channel section being held between the element 105 and the section 67. To release the clamp the lever 101 is moved to the position shown in dotted lines. Alternatively, the lever may be in the form of a bent metal strip. Specification 827,427 is referred to.
