Abstract

895,221. Sewing machines. CLARKSON, BROOKE & CO. Ltd. Sept. 8, 1958 [Sept. 13, 1957], No. 28889/57. Class 112 [Also in Group XVI] Tape, to be secured to garment parts by sewing, is passed through a guide channel 3 of a member 1 in advance of a sewing machine, not shown, and is tensioned by contact with a leaf spring 4. The tension exerted on the tape may be varied by rotation of a screw 6 engaging the spring, the screw 6 being rotatable by a head 8 carrying graduations. The head 8 is locked in adjusted position by a stop engaging one of a series of notches in the head. The spring 4 may carry a roller at its bottom end.
