894,343. Seats. CHAPMAN Ltd., A. W. Sept. 16, 1960 [Oct. 5, 1959], No. 33706/59. Class 52(2) In a vehicle seat mounted on two pairs of crossed-links 15, 16, vertical adjustment is effected by longitudinal motion of wedges 32 along screw-threaded shaft 39. Pivots 17 are constrained by lugs 36, sliding with line contact on flanges 34 of wedges 32, to move vertically towards and away from frame 2 and thereby to adjust the height of the seat. Link supporting lugs slide with line contact in guides 20, 21. Guides 21 and lugs 19 are mounted on sliders 6 which are secured in position on guides 8 by a pivotable dog 12 engaging holes 13.
