Abstract

1320441 Drafting apparatus ALBERT NESTLER GmbH 28 May 1971 [11 June 1970] 18023/71 Heading G1X For a drafting machine having a table 10 which can be adjusted from a horizontal to an inclined position, a counter-balance assembly comprising a weight 50 movable along a bar 48 is provided for removable attachment to a drafting head carriage 22 and its guide bar 20 so that the drafting head 24 can be counter-balanced when the table is in its inclined position. The weight 50 may be varied in magnitude by attachable plates 70 and is connected by a cable 54 which is trained over pulleys 56, 58 to a member 60 which can be secured to the carriage 22. The bar 48 on which the weight 50 is movable is securable at its ends to the bar 20 to be parallel therewith and to a carriage 18 which supports the bar 20 and provides adjustment thereof along a further bar 16. Scales 26, 28 to facilitate the correct positioning of the drafting head 24 relative to the table 10 may be provided on the bars 16, 20. A foot controlled arrangement may be provided for adjusting the tilt of the table 10.
