Abstract

892,613. Lift trucks; garage lifts. STOPPS, A. L. April 14, 1958, No. 11723/58. Class 78 (3). A fork lift truck supported on rollers 10 and castors 14 comprises channelled uprights 18 guiding a carriage 32, provided with forks 57, the carriage being raised on the uprights 18 by means of a chain hoist 42, which may be manually operated and which is suspended from a member 24 secured to the uprights. Removable forks 57 are arranged in pairs in slots 46 or 48 on the carriage and may also be mounted in slots 61 adjacent the upper ends of the uprights 18. The forks may support a cross-bar 62, Fig. 2, provided with a hook 71, or a cross-bar 80, Fig. 10, provided with projections for engagement with a car bumper. The forks may alternatively support a platform, Fig. 4 (not shown).
