Abstract

890,949. Supplying fuel to burners. BIANCO, A. Sept. 30, 1960, No. 33686/60. Class 75(1) A compressor forming an oil mist for delivery to a burner (not shown) is immersed in an oil heating chamber 15. The oil is heated by an electric immersion heater 7 controlled by a thermostat 8. The oil passes from a tank to a filter chamber 15a and then to an adjustable displacement pump (not shown) which delivers the oil to an inlet 14a in the heating chamber 15. The heated oil passes through a valve 17 to a duct 21 which is also connected to an air inlet having a filter 20 and which leads to the compressor 5. The valve 17 has a bellows connected by a duct to the delivery side of the compressor and cuts off the oil flow when the delivery pressure of the oil mist is below a preset value. Should the valve 17 close a spring loaded relief valve 25 opens to allow oil to circulate through the filter chamber, the displacement pump and the heating chamber.
