Abstract
889,406. Canopies. LORD, F. and CROOK, J., [trading as PARKSIDE ACCESSORIES (SALES) CO.]. Oct. 25, 1960 [Oct. 28, 1959; June 23, 1960], Nos. 36494/59 and 21945/60. Class 20(4) A canopy is made of moulded material and comprises a central section 17, Fig. 5, including a rigid shielding panel having means 15 whereby it may be secured for example by screws to a wall or like structure, in combination with two end sections each having a side wall or end panel 19 for closing the ends of the section 17. In the construction shown, the end sections are separate from the central section and have joggled edges 20, Fig. 6, which form an overlap with the edges of the central section 17 to receive nuts and bolts 21. A flange 16 is provided to engage a slot in the wall to form a water-tight joint when bonded in by cement or the like. In another embodiment, Figs. 1-4 (not shown) the central and end sections are formed integrally with each other, and the lower edges of the central and end sections are provided with gutters. A plurality of central sections may be employed to form a canopy of desired length.
