Abstract

888,738. Razors. OSBERGHANS, H. [trading as OSBERGHANS RUD. [firm of]]. Nov. 24, 1958 [May 17, 1958], No. 37779/58. Class 30 A safety razor blade is clamped between a blade seat 2 and a clamping plate 3 by the engagement of a U spring 5, 6, mounted on the plate, with the undercut head 10 of a resilient tongue 11 secured inside the handle 1. The stem 17 of a spring-controlled press button moves the head 10 laterally out of engagement with the spring 5, 6 which is raised by the resilient closure of the ends 18, 19 on the stem 17. Upward movement of the spring 5, 6 and the clamping plate is arrested, in a position in which the blade can be rinsed, by the engagement of curved parts 14, 15 of the spring in recesses 12, 13. The spring is pulled out of the handle to separate the clamping plate and blade seat for blade replacement.
