Class 39(1) In an X-ray tube with a rotary anode at least one of the shaft bearings 6, 7, Fig. 2, is supported by springs 10 acting radially. Instead of compression springs, spring blades 11, Fig. 4, extending either at right-angles to the shaft 5, as shown, or axially, may be used. Ballbearings or slidable bearings may be used.
