Abstract
885,291. Pneumatic springs. DUNLOP RUBBER CO. Ltd. April 22, 1958 [May 1, 1957], No. 13812/57. Class 108(3). In a hydro-pneumatic spring unit a diaphragm 11, separates a hydraulic liquid chamber 10 from a displacement chamber 6 which contains air under pressure. Upward movement of the piston 2 displaces liquid from the space above the piston, through a damping valve 22 and an orifice 25, into the chamber 10. Specifications 868,825 and 885,290 are referred to.
