Abstract

883,205. Spray-producers. LANDOLT A.G., A. March 18, 1958 [Nov. 6, 1957], No. 8697/58. Addition to 750,940. Class 69 (3). Apparatus for atomizing, mixing, and applying at least two spraying substances includes a gun 1 from the nozzle 4 of which liquid from a container 5 is atomized by compressed-air, and at least one additional liquid container 23 each feeding, by a flexible pipe 30, a spray nozzle 19 whereby the latter is adjustable in various directions independently of its container and relative to the main nozzle 4. Spray from the main nozzle flows past the nozzle 19 and draws liquid from the additional container via a dip tube 31, Fig. 3, and the flexible pipe, and sprays it from the nozzle 19. The latter is connected to a part 17 threaded to and thereby axially adjustable in a sleeve 12b and nuts 18 hold the nozzle in the desired position. A carrier 12, adjustable along a bolt 13 by a screw 16 and arm 12a, and held in position by a screw 15, carries the sleeve 126. The bolt 13 is supported by a sleeve 11 adjustably clamped to a rod 9 attached to the gun. The additional container is supported in a cup 22 fixed to a sleeve 20 adjustably mounted on the rod 9 and held by a screw 21. A one-way valve 36, Fig. 3, and an indicating rod 34 are located in the dip tube 31 and, in operation, the rod is drawn upwardly by an amount depending on the suction produced in the container 23, and a marking a is provided to indicate a correct adjustment of the apparatus.
