880,930. Stud and socket fastenings. HUNT (CAPACITORS) Ltd., A. H. Aug. 20, 1959 [Aug. 21, 1958], No. 26956/58. Class 44. A device suitable for supporting a capacitor in a desired position on a support member comprises a casing 11 to which is attached a socket member 16 which is in the shape of a square having a raised hollow cruciform recess extending from its centre to form mouths 17, 18, 19, 20 in each of its sides, each mouth being adapted to receive a plug portion on a support bracket. The member may be provided with an aperture or boss to allow it to be bolted or screwed to the suporting bracket or may be secured to a band which encircles the casing 14, instead of the member itself being attached to the casing. An alternative way of securing the casing on a bracket is to provide the socket member and the socket engaging portion of the bracket with cooperating pimple and dimple means. A band to encircle the capacitor may be used in place of the casing 11.
