Abstract

880,376. Couplings. ENGLISH ELECTRIC CO. Ltd. Feb. 14, 1958 [Feb. 21, 1957], No. 5901/57. Class 38 (1). A shroud 14 for an electric cable connection includes a tapered, resilient, e.g. rubber, sleeve 16 having an integral flange 18 which forms at least part of a wall of the shroud. The shroud, of moulded insulating material, is in two halves and is supported by a bus-bar 10 about which it is clamped. The flange 18 is made less resilient than the tapered portion by selective curing. The sleeve is externally stepped to indicate where it should be cut to take any of a range of standard sized cables,
