Abstract
879,736. Razors. SHALEV, B. Nov. 26, 1959 [Jan. 20, 1959], No. 40263/59. Class 30. A safety razor head, consisting of a blade 11 clamped between a guard 10 and a cover plate 12, is detachably secured to a handle 1 which forms a container for shaving cream and which has a closure 2, a spring-urged false bottom and a cream - spreading roller 5 journalled in the container so as to protrude through a slot 4. A resilient strut 6 and a rib 3 engage beneath the ends 10<SP>1</SP> of the guard to secure the head to the handle and shaving residue passes over the oblique face 3<SP>1</SP>. In a modification (see Fig. 3) a circularsection handle 30 having a screwed closure 31 carries a hollow member 32 which has a slot 38 and roller 39 at each side and is provided with ridges 34 for sliding engagement with the ends of the guard 40. A spring-pressed ball 44 engages a depression in the clamping screw 43 to retain the head in shaving position. Refilling may be by a cartridge.
