Abstract

878,611. Bases for couplings. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO. Ltd. Aug. 6, 1959 [Sept. 18, 1958], No. 29859/58. Class 38 (1). A distribution box comprises a hollow casting e.g. of aluminium, having apertures 8 in the top 5 and in opposed sides 6, 7 for mounting accessories, e.g. a socket or a post office connecting block, and an aperture 2 in the base 1 for the passage of electrical connections. The base may have a concentric recess to facilitate fitting to a standard component in a ducting system and a groove 11 that can be filled with sealing compound to prevent moisture penetrating under the block.
