Abstract

877,327. Cabinets. ROTADEX SYSTEMS Ltd. Feb. 6, 1959 [Nov. 21, 1957], No. 36252/57. Class 52(1). [Also in Group XV] Card storage apparatus comprises one or more platforms or turntables, constructed according to Specification 877,328 [Group XV] disposed one above the other and each mounted on the outer end of an angularly movable arm rotatable in a horizontal plane about a vertical supporting shaft, and catch means, provided to retain the arm in different angular positions in relation to the shaft, comprising a resiliently-pressed ball or other catch member, carried by either the arm or an adjacent fixed part, which engages one of a plurality of recesses in the other part. The arm 4 formed with an integral collar 4a having recesses 8 therein, is held in different positions by means of a spring-pressed ball-ended plunger 9. The shaft 5 and upright 7 carrying the plungers 9, are enclosed by a two part cover 15a, 15b, the part 15b being suitably cut away to permit movement of the arms 4. Alternatively the catch means is carried by the collar 4a and the recesses are formed in the fixed upright which is shaped to partly surround the collar, or the shaft 5 carries the catch member to engage recesses in the collar.
