876,048. Seals. UNITED-CARR FASTENER CORPORATION. Aug. 28, 1959 [Sept. 18, 1958], No. 29518/59. Class 146(2). [Also in Group XXV] A fastener comprises a flexible strap 4 having a male fastener member 6 at one end and a female fastener member 2 at the other end, the male member including. a pair of resilient elements 40,40 each having a shoulder 42 and the female member including a projection 18 and a shoulder 16 in spaced relation to opposed sides of the projection the arrangement being such that on entry of the male member into the female member the projection 18 effects lateral displacement of the elements 40 to cause the shoulders 42 thereon to make locking engagement with the shoulders on the female member. As shown, the fastener is applied to securing a hasp 44 over a staple 46 and may be made of metal, rubber or synthetic plastic material.
