Abstract
875,750. Skipping ropes. RECALMA, W. Jan. 21, 1960, No. 2223/60. Class 132(1). A skipping rope comprises a pair of handles 6, swivel means 7 connecting a longer rope 2 to the handles and swivel means 8 conecting a shorter rope 1 to the first swivel means. As shown,'swivels 7 and 8 and rope 2 are connected' together by a ring 10. The ropes 1, 2 may be plastic, and handles 3 are wire with hand grips 6 of wood or plastic. The swivels are preferably of a ball bearing type. Weights 11, e.g. of lead, may be fixed to the ropes and may be encased in rubber or like cushioning material. Otherwise, the ropes may have heavier centre sections.
