Abstract

A polymeric composition comprises (1) at least 80% by weight of polyethylene of density greater than 0,95 gms./c.c. at 25 DEG C. and which has been made utilizing a "Ziegler" catalyst of the type described in Specification 873,227 and (2) not more than 20% by weight of a rubber-like substantially non-crosslinked homopolymer or copolymer of a mono-olefine. The copolymer may contain up to 10% of a polyene. Ingredient (2) of the composition may be polyisobutylene, atactic polypropylene admixed with a cracked wax olefine polymer, polyisobutylene admixed with a cracked wax olefine polymer, ethylene/propylene copolymers, or isobutylene copolymers e.g. butyl rubber. The composition may also contain fillers, anti-oxidants and dyes. The compositions may be used for injection moulding.
