Abstract

873,193. Spring units. FICHTEL & SACHS A.G. March 2, 1960 [May 2, 1959], No. 7446/60. Class 108(3). A telescopic vibration damper 1, 2 is combined with a helical vehicle spring 9 to form a spring leg, the axial fixing of the helical spring being effected by one or more locking rings 4 each of which is embedded in an abutment ring 7 for the spring. Grocves 3 are rolled in the parts 1, 2 to receive beads 5 on the rings 4 which are slotted and made from an elastic synthetic material. Alternatively, each ring 4 may consist of segmental pressure castings of light metal and be located by a collar instead of the bead 5.
