Abstract
873,042. Switching systems for electromagnets. BROOKHIRST IGRANIC Ltd. Sept. 9, 1959 [Sept. 23, 1958], No. 30774/59. Class 38 (4). In a circuit whereby electromagnetic devices 5, 6 are connected normally in series but initially in parallel to obtain rapid energization, a rectifier 9 is connected between them so that the circuit is not broken by the transition. The parallel connection is effected through contacts 2M2, 2M3 operated by a relay coil 2M1 which is de-energized by a relay TR1-TR3 after a determined time delay. In a modification, an additional contact 3M4 (Fig. 2, not shown) is closed to shunt the rectifier 9 after the paralleling contacts have opened.
