870,035. Vehicle with removable bodies. BILLINGTON, J. D. April 15, 1958 [Feb. 4, 1957], No. 3704/57. Class 78 (4). A removable body for a vehicle has spigot and socket means for locating it on the vehicle carrying it. The body illustrated has two decks for carrying motor car bodies and can be lifted by a crane or by the forks of a lift truck inserted in tunnels f. The body is located on a vehicle chassis by pyramid-shaped cones d taking over members i on the chassis, and by sockets g engaging spring-biased pins which may be replaced by fixed pins if the sockets g are replaced by holes in the bases of the inverted cones d. The body also has ground-engaging chocks e.
