868,125. Means for removing air from hydraulic fluid. SUDDEUTSCHE KUHLERFABRIK JULIUS FR. BEHR. Aug. 14, 1957 [Aug. 16, 1956], No. 25661/57. Class 69 (2). A tank 5A in the exhaust pipe of the motor of an hydraulic circuit consists of an upper chamber 12 and lower chamber 13. The exhaust pipe 14 enters the chamber 12 tangentially and the liquid is caused to flow upwards in a circular motion whereby small air bubbles distributed through the liquid collect near the axis of the tank and combine into large bubbles which rise and flow into a tube 11. The fluid and air flow down this to a nozzle 8 in the lower chamber, the air here being released, rising, and escaping through a vent 9. The liquid supply line 6 for the pump in the circuit opens below the nozzle 8. A filter magnet 10 is preferably provided to remove magnetic particles from the circulating liquid in the upper chamber.
