Abstract

PURPOSE: To treat a large quantity of a liquid at low cost without heating and by using a simple device by a method wherein cavitation is generated in a negative pressure atmosphere when separating a gas dissolving in the liquid.
CONSTITUTION: When a piston 2 is slid at a fixed expansion speed E and a cavitation chamber 4 is expanded, a liquid, which flows from a suction pipe 7 and dissolves a gas, flows into the cavitation chamber 4 as a jet accompanied by violet turbulence, and cavitation 14 is generated in a negative pressure atmosphere. Infinitestimal bubbles functioning as nuclei grow to minute bubbles 15, and collect to a ceiling surface 16, and a large bubble 17 is produced. When the piston 2 is slid at a small contraction speed F, the large bubble 17 may be discharged by opening a valve 18 of a gas discharge pipe 12 because the large bubble 17 flows out through a discharge hole 9 and is stored in a gas storage portion 11.
