Abstract
866,290. Fuel injection engines. USTAV PRO VYZKUM MOTOROVYCH VOZIDEL PRAHA. Aug. 1, 1958 [Aug. 20, 1957], No. 24859/58. Class 7(3). Fuel is injected from a single jet nozzle 9 into a combustion chamber 2 in the piston so that the main part of the jet is directed towards the inner end of the chamber while a small portion of the outer periphery of the jet is sprayed on to the piston crown adjacent the edge 7 at the mouth of the chamber. The finely atomized portion sprayed on to the piston crown facilitates ignition.
