Abstract

862,275. Garment racks. ROLFE, C. I. Jan. 1, 1959 [Jan. 15, 1958], No. 1457/58. Classes 52(1) and 52(5). A garment supporting rod or rack 10 is mounted on a drawer 4 which is slidably and hingedly mounted in a cabinet 1 to move from a storage position in which the garments are piled on the floor 2 to a depending display position. Guideways formed by rails 8 and the floor 2, above a shelved compartment 3, have end stops for rollers 6 mounted on lugs 7 secured to the drawer and abutments 13 are provided for the wall 5 in closed position. In modifications many drawers are provided which have side walls or are of skeletal construction and the garment rack is a rod central of the back edge of the drawer, for engagement by the suspension hook of coat &c. hangars or has hinged rods 11 on both sides for the display of trousers.
