860,366. Louvre-ventilators. AUSTER Ltd. Sept. 7, 1959 [Oct. 28, 1958], No. 34410/58. Class 137 A ventilator comprising a plurality of angularly adjustable louvres 3 interconnected for simultaneous adjustment and controllable by a screw-and-nut device 9 having an axially movable component 16 directly connected to one of the louvres is characterised in that the component 16 consists of a nut mounted on an axiallyfixed screw-member 9d and carrying a rigid arm 21 coupled by a trunnion device to one of the louvres, the nut and screw being housed within a fixed tube 17 having a longitudinal slot 22 through which the arm 21 extends. The arm 21 terminates in a trunnion shaft which is received in slots 29 in two brackets 26. The screw 9d extends through a bearing 18 in a plate 1 carrying all the louvres and terminates in a squared end 9c which receives an operating knob 14. A link 7 interconnects arms 6 attached to all the louvres.
