Abstract

1,045,510. Adjustable seats. JOSEPH SANKEY & SONS Ltd. Sept. 23, 1965, No. 40520/65. Addition to 1,019,134. Heading A4J. [Also in Division F2] The telescopic member of the parent Specification is modified by having a threaded shaft 11 supported by an outer tube 10 which has a portion 14 in which the shaft is a sliding fit and a portion 16 of greater cross-section than the first portion and within which a guide member 17 carried by shaft 11 is a sliding fit. The guide member 17 is in the form of a disc keyed to shaft 11 to rotate with the shaft. The movable stop element of the parent Specification is replaced by a stop element which is movable into a position to engage ribs 41 on tube 10 solely by a rotary movement. The stop element consists of a rotary peg 31, Fig. 3 (not shown) provided with an eccentrically mounted stop portion 40.
